About Mark
Mark Salmon came to Lake Tahoe in 1995 after growing up in Southern California. Mark attended high school and college in San Diego where his passion and focus were in Architecture. During his second year of college, he decided to take a quarter off to seek some adventure in the mountains of Lake Tahoe where he never left and still calls it home today.
For nearly a decade Mark worked in the lumber industry in Tahoe. He gained a huge knowledge of building materials and techniques for residential and commercial projects. He created lasting relationships in the building community with contractors of every expertise. It wasn't long before he pushed up through the ranks to later become the highest grossing salesman in the West Coast for Meek's Lumber Company.
During his early years at the lumber yard, Mark met his future wife, Amber. Mark and Amber soon brought two daughters into the world and family became his true driving force to becoming successful. It was during this time that the Salmon's recognized the now booming Tahoe real estate market. They jumped in with both feet, purchasing their first home and soon after building the first of many custom homes for themselves. With such a background in architecture and building materials, progression in home building seemed natural. Over a five year period, Mark oversaw the construction of nearly a dozen successful homes and all during his final years at the lumber yard.
Mark left Meek's in August of 2005 at the tender age of 29. Before venturing out on his own, he collected a real estate license in the state of California as an added accolade. It wasn't long until a good opportunity to use this license became available. In late 2006, Mark joined Pinnacle Real Estate Group which was a new independent brokerage comprised of a collection of top producing teams with over 20 years experience in Lake Tahoe real estate.
Mark has participated in thousands of projects over the years, ranging from a small remodeled country cabin to a 6-story wing addition on the Hyatt Regency. It doesn't matter if its land, residential or a commercial project, Mark has dealt with all the nuances involved in the complex world of Tahoe real estate and building. With his vast relations with all local agencies, including the TRPA, you'll feel comfortable with his added consulting services to help see your project through timely and accurately. |
