The Black Bart neighborhood of South Lake Tahoe is named after the Wells Fargo stagecoach robber who had historical ties to the Sierra Foothills. Nestled between Pioneer Trail and Tahoe-Sierra (formerly known as Sierra Tract), this neighborhood is actually pretty small. With Black Bart being located between Lake Christopher and Trout Creek Meadows, most homes here get to enjoy meadow and mountain views. Another perk to this particular area is the lots are larger which gives a lot of the properties here a bit more space and privacy.
Like most other areas in South Lake Tahoe, there is a mix of homes from brand new larger construction to cute cabins and chalets. Due to its location, you have the quiet of the county, but can enjoy the city amenities within minutes.
Additionally, you are just a couple minutes from the award-winning Sierra House Elementary School, which is known for its growing domes and strong emphasis on outdoor activities. The community college, local bike park and US Forest Management Unit are also just minutes away.
